Student-Parent-Teacher Compact

Dr. Mendiola Elementary is committed to the belief that each student can reach his/her highest potential for intellect, emotional and physical growth. To reach these goals a partnership is needed among parents, students, teachers and administrators. Together we will create a positive, safe, and drug free learning environment and agree to the following.

AS A TEACHER I WILL:

• Respect and value all student and parents and offer a safe and welcoming learning environment.

• Change and enhance my instruction in a way that it will motivate and encourage my students to want to learn and prepare them for the future.

• Keep positive communication with all students.

• Contact parents as needed for concerning grades, absences, changes in the student’s behavior, missing schoolwork and/or homework, supplies and missing books.

• Provide information on meeting, parent conferences, via mail, email, and text regarding academics aid bilingually for all parents to understand.

• Get parents help to work together.

• Make sure I attend school every day.

AS A PARENT I WILL:

• Read more at home with my child.

• Make sure I check if my child has homework every day and help my child with homework.

• Make sure my child goes to school every day.

• Have good communication with my child’s teachers.

• Make sure my child goes to bed early.

AS A STUDENT I WILL:

1. Come to school every day.

2. Do all my homework.

3. Be respectful to teachers and my classmates.

4. Pass the test

5. Go to sleep early.
