At Dr. Palmira Mendiola Elementary, our goal is to teach our students to be well rounded citizens who contribute meaningfully and compete successfully in the global community. Our students are not just learning the academics part, but are also involved in helping in good causes. Our students have raised and donated money since we opened the school to different non-profit organizations. As a campus, we strive to instill in our students that their academic pursuits should not stop just with high school. Our students are expected to become life-long learners. Students need to go to college or a technical school. The education they receive now will impact their future, so we take our role as educators very seriously. We welcome community and parent partnerships in the role we all play in educating and modeling young minds. We want parents, staff, and our community to work as a team to encourage and support our students to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally to become productive citizens of our community and the world.
La Joya ISD is committed to engaging all stakeholders in the education of our children. Our goal is to build strong relationships with our staff, students, families and community members so we can make the changes needed to reach every student.
